BRIAN W. DAVIES, M.D., M.B.A

The Cartwright Law Firm utilizes the extensive knowledge and analytical abilities of Brian W. Davies, M.D., M.B.A. as a staff consultant in all phases of the case development and litigation process. Dr. Davies provides consultation on issues involving physical injury, medical standard of care, and medical malpractice claims. Having a highly credentialed and experienced physician "on call" as a consultant has been of tremendous benefit to the clients of The Cartwright Law Firm.

Dr. Davies earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1975. He completed his residency in general surgery at the same institution, followed by a number of fellowships in plastic surgery, microsurgery, craniofacial surgery and aesthetics at various medical schools across the country and in Australia. In 1986 Dr. Davies opened his own certified surgery center in Akron, Ohio, where he practiced as a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Board Certified Hand Surgeon. Dr. Davies maintained his demanding surgical practice for sixteen years before retiring from the full-time practice of medicine.

A life-long learner, Dr. Davies then turned his attention to the business arena, earning an M.B.A. from the University of South Florida. Dr. Davies now works as a consultant in the fields of medical investment banking and securities. Through his work as a consultant with expertise in both the medical and business arenas, Dr. Davies has found a way to combine his significant knowledge and analytical skills to the benefit of his clients.

The Cartwright Law Firm, in turn, is very pleased to be able to utilize Dr. Davies' considerable consulting skills in the review and analysis of potential legal claims where professional medical knowledge and experience is required. In addition to assisting the attorneys at The Cartwright Law Firm in the development of potential claims, Dr. Davies has also proved invaluable as a consultant and strategist during the litigation of personal injury and wrongful death claims, as well as other legal issues involving medicine.
